CSIMA Workshops

As the Columbia Student Investment Management Association (CSIMA), one of the largest clubs at Columbia Business School (CBS) with over 300 members, we are dedicated to the education and career development of students with an interest in the investment management industry. Our club is the focal point of contact for hedge funds, mutual funds, family offices, private wealth management, and other investment managers seeking interaction with CBS students. Our primary activities for this year include:

    • Hosting the annual CSIMA Conference, one of the largest and most successful student investment management conference in the nation
    • Hosting the inaugural CBS Value Investing Stock Pitch Competition
    • Publishing the Graham & Doddsville Newsletter
    • Hosting monthly Investment Ideas Club meetings
    • Organizing the annual Omaha Trek to meet Warren Buffett and Todd Combs
    • Organizing the annual Asia and Europe Investment Management Treks
    • Sponsoring guest lectures and panels from renowned industry practitioners
    • Assisting CSIMA members with the recruiting process through educational events and a robust mentorship program
    • Organizing social and alumni events to strengthen our community
    • Sponsoring an academic scholarship for incoming students
    • Working with other CBS groups and local funds in philanthropic activities

We are incredibly lucky to study at the birthplace of value investing. As CSIMA members and value investors, we hope to build on the thought leadership from Benjamin Graham, Roger Murray, Bruce Greenwald, and countless other professors and students at Columbia Business School. We are dedicated to the diligent search for value by thinking independently and focusing on the long term. By leveraging Columbia Business School's network of generous alumni, professors, students, and friends of the school, CSIMA pledges to give our members ample opportunities to become better investors.

Along with all our officers, we look forward to contributing to another successful year.
